Connection dead.

I feel like I’ve just had a limb surgically removed (yeah okay, a bit over the top, I know, considering this happened boatloads of times in the past). A part of me just died (I have a lot of parts). My life is forever changed (I’ll try to save up the downloads till a later date next time).

In the event none of you know what has happened, the occupants of my household have once again exceeded our monthly download quota (curse you TPG / Australian internet) which means I’m pretty much on dial-up. I’m currently reporting from a different computer (because I just had to rant about this, as usual), so I’m not really being affected by the crappy bandwidth that’s being shared by 4 different computers simultaneously (now anyway).

If you have to put forward the query “is it really that bad?”, then I guess we may not have been formally introduced. Over the years, I have grown increasingly dependent on the internet, from obtaining all forms of media to getting the news, from getting my fix of entertainment to downloading notes for uni work, so on and so forth. I can’t check the social sites (and it just so happens that my friends are busy trying to get my attention on Facebook right now for some reason), and even checking my e-mail inbox is a pain (at least my phone has mobile internet enabled as of last week, or else I’d be pretty screwed considering the amount of emails I get).

Anyway, the connection should be back to normal in about 2 weeks, so until then, I’ll have to make use of uni computers or scraps of bandwidth I can scrounge up from the household connection, a task I am not too fond of.

Side note: I did my laundry on Sunday morning. Woke up early and all. Left it out to dry, and it just had to rain this morning. I hate Melbourne weather, seriously I do. When people say “you can’t get this kind of weather back home”, I’ll be thinking entirely different things than whoever said it to me (the thoughts would go along the lines of “AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”).
